In this installment of Jason Goldwatch’s “Time Pieces” short film series we travel to sunny Venice Beach California to spend a day with rapper/producer Evidence of Dilated Peoples. Rapidly becoming as well known for his Instagram photography as he is for his music, Ev takes us on a photo mission in his hometown while Goldwatch captures it all in Super 8 mm film.
I’m proud to present to you guys this interview we did with Evidence the other week. It was def one of the dopest interviews we’ve been a part of. We caught up with Ev before his show on 4/20 in Santa Cruz,CA. Ev speaks on Blu and Fashawn as writers, his relationship w/ Sean Daley & more. Shout out to Jake over at Rhymesayers, EV’s tour manager Branden and of course the man Evidence himself.
Here’s some fresh visuals for you before I go to work. You’re welcome.
Z&G&E (Zion I, The Grouch and Eligh) and Evidence birthed a dope song and video this past month while on the road together! The guys just finished the extremely successful (mostly sold out) 19 city “How The Grouch Stole Christmas Tour”.
“The response has been overwhelming and we just wanted to give the people a little gift for the holidays” says The Grouch about the free download.
Amp Live of Zion I made the beat and the song was complete when Evidence recorded his verse backstage at the Fox Theatre in Boulder Colorado. We shot the video at the venue right before our show in Sacramento. DJ Icewater did the cuts.
Just got this in the inbox and thought I’d throw it up on the page before the Freddie Gibbs concert tonight! Stay tuned…
